Relax and enjoy...
The O’Connor Hall Guest House and Bed and Breakfast boasts four Queen-sized ensuite bedrooms which have been designed especially with the weary traveller in mind. Inclusions are: reverse-cycle air conditioning, electric blankets, TV, licensed mini-bar, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bedrooms are the most personal spaces, a place where you can shut the door on the world. We believe our rooms are a sanctuary- perhaps a love nest, work room or a honeymoon suite. They are spacious yet cosy.
Built in 1883..
Waratah’s O’Connor Hall served as the original Mount Bischoff Mine manager’s residence and today is one of the most significant buildings in the community. The residence is a grand Victorian Georgian structure, which is fully listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Council, both for its structural properties and for its townscape associations which are regarded as being important to the community’s sense of place. Today the residence stands as tall and proud as it did in the 1880’s, and is well maintained with beautifully manicured gardens.
