Take the time to enjoy a quiet weekend away in our self-contained farm cabin in the picturesque Central Tilba countryside. Only minutes away from beautiful beaches and spectacular bush walks and handy to the townships of Narooma, Bermagui and Cobargo, there is something here for everyone. Or just laze around the property and enjoy the peace and solitude that is so hard to get in today's busy lifestyle.
The Cabin is a self-contained one-bedroom house that was built from the old farm Dairy (milking shed) many many years ago. The original concrete slab and foundations are still in place and offer a rough and rustic appeal to the accommodation. Over the years bits have been added to the original structure so that there are now weatherboards on the inside and an interesting variety of windows, doors and walls that altogether make up a rather interesting and appealing overall effect, and very warm and cosy as well.
This is a fully solar-powered residence with the electricity supply coming from Solar Panels and a bank of batteries and your water supply comes from collected rainwater, in exactly the same way as we live in the main house, albeit on a smaller scale.
Although we do not allow pets in the cabin itself, dogs are welcome and there is a large kennel provided just outside for shelter.
There are 12 acres of native bush at the back of the property with a trail running along it which makes a nice morning walk (1.5km to there and back which sounds a lot, but only takes about 20 minutes). If you’re really keen, take the shortcut through the paddocks and up the big hill to work up an appetite for breakfast.
